UMD's Virtual Workspace

UMD's Virtual Workspace provides University of Maryland students, staff and faculty with a windows virtual desktop that includes a suite of software applications available for university work.

These virtual desktops are available through a variety of methods and devices after logging in with your university credentials. From the desktop, you can access, work on and save files from cloud-based storage such as Box and Google. You can also manage and edit files on your local computer.

Although basic configuration settings are saved and persist between uses, other files and settings do not. Idle machines will timeout after 15 minutes and you will be logged out after disconnecting for 1 hour.
