This wiki provides details on the Economic department cluster's capabilities and how to take advantage of them.

Starting in November 2023, we will slowly be migrating cluster nodes to a new system. We will be doing the following:

• Upgrading the Operating System from CentOS 6.5 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8
• Moving the authentication servers from an internal system to UMD's Active Directory

What this means for you:

• You will no longer need to remember a separate login for the cluster. Everything will be tied in to your UMD username and password.
• The latest versions of software available will be updated as well.
